The goralski is one of the two basic dances of the Skalne Podhale region (Rocky Foothills of the Tatra Mountains in southern Poland).
The group has always focused on traditional music, not only playing but also teaching and arranging folk music to modern standards. Strong play on traditional instruments such as the Duda (bagpipe), Citer, lute, flutes and percussion. Great traditional vocals by the female and male singers and sometimes surprisingly subtle arrangements which gives the music just a bit extra. Good example is the Celtic harp interlude on Ne menj szivem.
(Hungarian Worldmusic) The music of the album was inspired by the paintings of the internationally known painter, Imre Égerházi. Tamás Barabás’s (bass guitar) and Attila Égerházi’s (guitar) tunes follow the set up of “one painting, one track”.
